Waste Wise Audit
Room 10 had the wonderful job of helping our school become a Wastewise school! In order to make changes with how we deal with our waste, we had to do a waste audit. This involved our waste facilitator Ron teaching us about what happens to the waste that goes to the landfill. Then we had to collect all the rubbish the school produced over one whole day. The next day, we got ready to sort it...ourselves! Learning about the different types of rubbish Here comes the rubbish! We all had old clothes and gloves on. We were each given a bucket and a type of rubbish to look for. We scrambled around filling our buckets. It was a little bit gross, but we knew how important it was to find out what was going into our rubbish bins. We were super keen eco warriors! Once we had sorted it we had to get ready to weigh it.
