Hatching Butterflies
After a particularly windy day, three Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis' were found on the ground where they had blown off their anchors on a flax bush. Miss Daly carefully taped them to a branch and brought them in out of the wind. Now we could see the magic of the transformation up close while also protecting the delicate pods.

So beautiful and amazing. We cant wait for the others to hatch!
How exciting that you got to capture this beautiful butterfly emerging. Maddison can tell you all about our garden. We are lucky enough to have lots of swan plants in our garden so there is always Monarch Butterflies flying around and lots of caterpillars on our plants.
ReplyDeleteThis is fascinating. Rael's poppa has a row of swan plants too in his garden. You are a great role model Miss Daly, showing our tamariki how to care for the environment. Thumbs up!
