Lest We Forget

It is ANZAC Day during the holidays We had a special assembly where we remembered the fallen soldiers and those who fought so bravely for our freedom. We laid poppies on our memorial in the hall.




We made poppies to take home and plant in our gardens or windows or take to our local dawn parade.

    What an honourable way to commemorate Anzac Day at Waikowhai. Rael's poppy is in our indoor pot plant and our family went to the Anzac Parade/Service at Mt Roskill War Memorial on Good Friday. We are so grateful to all NZer's who served in the Wars. Lest we forget.

Our new Playground and equipment

Wow our new playground is here and its AWESOME!!!! We had an official opening today, the Kapahaka group sang a welcoming waiata, then Mr Craig (Board of Trustees chairman) officially opened it, by cutting the ribbon. The seniors took a buddy junior over first. Each class had a turn for half an hour, we went today and it was FUN. We have also had two new basketball hoops installed. We have 6 skateboards and 10 helmets that the school has purchased to use on our NEW RAMPS! So much fun to be had at school.
