Self Portraits

This year we decided to be a bit different and create a half self portrait. We included our name to the left and used a step by step process to draw our faces. Be sure to come to our Assembly in week 5 to see our finished faces or later in the classroom when they are displayed.

  6. Hi Kaiwhare, James here from Te Waka Ako, I really like your half face portraits. Next time you could write more about how you got your head shape, the size of your neck and what colours you used. This reminded me of the time that we had to do a contrast portrait with our serious face on one side and the other side we got to draw anything. I drew Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you would like to see what I have done on my blog the address is http://wpsjamesp.blogspot.co.nz/.
Keep up the great work, Blog you later.

  7. Hi there, my name is Rio and I am a student in Manukau at Waikowhai School. I really like your portraits because you used a lot of colour. It made me think of when sunlight hits the water and the water hits oil. Have you thought about trying not to hide things that are yours and you think are bad. If you would like to see my learning, my class blog is http://wpsriceman.blogspot.co.nz/. blogspot.co.nz.
